Neighbourhd Presents: Girls Don’t Rap? with Cola B

Making room for women who rap.

For our next event, we’re linking up with Birmingham rapper Cola B to build a night dedicated to the women pushing grime forward across the West Midlands.

Girls Don’t Rap? is about putting that talent front and centre.

Together with Cola B, we’re programming a full female grime line-up — bringing some of the region’s best rappers into one room and giving them the stage, the band and the space to show exactly what’s happening in our scene.

Featuring sets from the best West Midlands has to offer, alongside DJs bringing grime, UK rap, garage and more throughout the night.

Then we’re switching things up.

A full-band live grime cypher.

The NBHD House Band will step in as our artists go bar-for-bar over live instrumentation, taking the raw energy of a grime cypher and putting it through the NBHD live-band treatment.

No token slots. No side stage.

Just a line-up of women who rap, a room built around their music, and a platform big enough to make some noise.
