Forget the small talk

Everyone's single and up for meeting people, and our host does the introductions, so there's none of the nerves of approaching a stranger in a bar. Just a great night out with a room full of new faces.

Your night out

Join us at BOX in Birmingham on Friday 14 May at 8pm for a singles party for people in their 40s and 50s. No awkward small talk on your own: our host gets everyone mixing from the moment you arrive.

How it works

Say hello to our host when you arrive, get a drink and dive in. There's no timetable and no bell, so stay chatting as long as you like with the people you click with, and swap numbers whenever you're ready.

Good to know

Doors open half an hour before the start, and the nearest station is Birmingham New Street. Tickets are sold separately for ladies and guys to keep the numbers even, so book early to make sure of your place. MySpeedDate nights are run by Original Dating.

Questions and answers

Can I come on my own?

Of course: most people do, and our host will make you feel at home.

Why are there separate tickets for ladies and guys?

So the numbers stay even and everyone gets to meet as many people as possible.

What if I'm a little outside the age range?

Don't worry about a birthday or two: the evening is at its best when everyone is roughly the same age.

Can I bring a friend?

Yes, book a ticket for each of you (a ladies' or guys' ticket each). We'll be in touch for their details after you book.

Who runs MySpeedDate nights?

Original Dating runs them on MySpeedDate's behalf, so you'll hear from Original Dating after you book to set up your account. That account is where you'll find your matches.

Can I get a refund?

Tickets can't be refunded or changed, so please double-check the date before booking.
