Combining two of the best-loved classical Christmas works of all time, this promises to be a very special concert.

The first half features ‘La Nativité du Seigneur’ by Olivier Messiaen - one of the 20th Century's most famous and colourful Christmas organ pieces - performed by Director of Music, John Robinson.

Following the interval, the Cathedral will come alive to Benjamin Britten’s captivating masterpiece ‘A Ceremony of Carols’ which combines harp and the sensational voices of the junior Cathedral choristers.

This concert is the perfect antidote to the stresses of the festive period.

Venue Details

Blackburn Cathedral is two minutes from the bus interchange and railway station. Please note that there is no onsite parking however there are a number of public car parks close by.

Although there are some old, uneven surfaces and care should be taken, the Cathedral is fully accessible and wheelchair friendly. There is level access into and around the building.
