Emma Saunders - Partner, AfterAthena

Emma Saunders is a Partner in the employment team at AfterAthena. She delivers clear, honest, and practical advice to business owners, directors, managers, and HR professionals across a broad spectrum of employment law matters.

With extensive experience in handling disciplinary and grievance issues, discrimination claims, absence and performance management, negotiated exits, restructures, and redundancy processes – including complex collective redundancies – Emma is known for her pragmatic and solutions-focused approach.

She also specialises in drafting and negotiating tailored employment documentation, including contracts of employment, directors’ service agreements, workplace policies and procedures, settlement agreements, and TUPE provisions in outsourcing arrangements.

Drawing on her background as both an in-house lawyer and private practice solicitor, Emma works closely with the corporate team to advise clients on the employment aspects of corporate transactions, ensuring seamless integration of legal and commercial considerations.
