A screening of the People's Emergency briefing, a film developed based on expert insights into the affects of climate change.

In November 2025, the National Emergency Briefing brought together leading experts to share the latest evidence on the climate and nature crisis with politicians and other influential people in Westminster. Through The People’s Emergency Briefing, that evidence is now being shared with communities across the UK, giving more people the opportunity to learn about the issues and explore what they could mean for us all.

The 50-minute film offers a clear and accessible overview of the climate and nature challenges facing the UK — and what they could mean for our lives, our communities, our economy and our future. It brings together expert evidence and perspectives from members of the public, making this complex subject easier to understand and relate to.

Although the film explores some serious and challenging issues, it is also an opportunity to consider the positive changes that can come from taking action together.

The aim is to bring people together in their local communities to hear the evidence, understand the challenges and explore how we can respond as a community

Event Expectations

This is a welcoming screening and information event, offering everyone the opportunity to watch the film, hear the evidence and reflect together. We recognise that people may come with a wide range of experiences, perspectives and questions, and we warmly welcome respectful contributions. To help create a positive and constructive space for everyone, we will not be undertaking a debate about the validity of the science or the Government’s net zero policy.

We invite respectful and constructive reflections and discussion after the screening. Our hope is to create a friendly and welcoming space where everyone feels comfortable listening, learning and sharing thoughts about how we can respond positively to the challenges ahead.
