Bring your people together for Shelter's Night Shift, a winter sleep out challenge to raise funds to support Shelter's fight for home.
Register your interest for Shelter’s "The Night Shift" fundraising challenge and bring your people together for a winter night with a difference.
Choose a date that works for you and your team between 26 September 2026 and February 2027, then get creative with where and how you take on your Night Shift. Whether it’s your garden, car, workplace, community space or somewhere else suitable, the challenge is yours to make your own.
There’s no minimum fundraising target, so you can decide how your group wants to get involved and raise funds to help people facing homelessness.
At Shelter, we recognise that homelessness is a complex and deeply personal experience. The Night Shift is not intended to replicate or imitate homelessness. Instead, it’s an opportunity to come together, learn more, encourage conversations and raise awareness in a respectful way. We’ll provide resources to help your group understand more about homelessness and approach the challenge with empathy and respect for people with lived experience.
Whether you take part with family, friends, colleagues or your wider community, The Night Shift is a chance to connect, challenge yourselves, have some fun and make a difference together.
Most importantly, your fundraising will help Shelter continue the fight for home.
