The Kilgrimol: Wet Felting workshop will take place at Aunty Social in Blackpool on 16 January 2027. The workshop will demonstrate wet felting techniques with local Living History enthusiast Heather.
Come and join local Living History enthusiast Heather as she brings to life crafts from the Northwest's Heritage.
Demonstrating the slowly vanishing skills that went into producing our clothing using natural materials.
Inspired by the Heritage Crafts Red List, we’re focusing on endangered crafts.
We'll supply
• All materials and tuition
• Hot/cold drinks and tasty snacks

‘Tis the season for keeping warm in a hurry!
No talent for knitting? You're not the only one.
Let Heather show you how to get started with wet felting. Felting is an old heritage
craft with prehistoric links. However it still feels as modern and vibrant today.
In this session, you can make mittens or socks in a few hours.
Why not make a hat or bag to compliment your wardrobe with your own colour
blended creations? You’ll be cosy in no time.
This session is in our upstairs workshop space. We have a lift! Otherwise it is fourteen steps turn a corner and two more steps. There is an accessible loo on the same floor.
GETTING HERE
Tram & Train to Blackpool North Station
Bus: No 6 or 18 to Topping St., No 3, 3a, 5c, 6, 18 to Church St (Stanley Buildings), No 5, 5a, 5b, 6, 7a, 14 to Talbot Rd
Driving: The closest pay and display car parks are on East Topping St and Talbot Road multi storey. There is also parking at the nearby Sainsbury’s supermarket, please make sure that you check the terms before you use the car park.
TOP TIP: If you need to park a car, then there is usually plenty of free on-street parking on Edward St and Topping St from 6pm.
