Tours of Smithills Hall including the room where protestant preacher George Marsh was questioned before being sent to trial.

We are offering free guided tours of Smithills Hall as part of Heritage Open Days in September. These tours are usually chargeable. The tour will include the room where Protestant martyr George Marsh was questioned and interrogated before being put on trial in Chester. The George Marsh room is usually closed to the public.
