Book your slot to perform at our National Poetry Day Open Mic Performer Slot

The event will start at 6pm and finish at 7:20pm and take place at Bolton Central Library. Audience members do not require a ticket.

Open Mic Performer Information

One ticket allows one performer slot of up to 5 minutes to perform poetry at Bolton Central Library.

You must sign up to perform, as spaces are limited.

The minimum age for performers is 14 years old.

All levels of experience are welcome, from first-time performers to established poets and writers.

There will be two performers per time slot. The running order will be determined by arrival time, with those arriving first performing first.

Timings may vary slightly if some performers do not use their full 5-minute slot.

Although this year's offical theme is wonder, poems can be based on any topic.

As it will be performed in a public space we ask that the piece not inculde colourful language and shock subject matter.

Our audience are not of one mind, philosophically or artistically, so in the interests of of harmony, please avoid strongly political poems at our open mic. Specifically, no partisan poems. Thank you for your respect.
