3-part course for beginner knitters ready to learn stranded colourwork and make your very own pair of cat mittens!

Kitten mittens, anyone?

Treat yourself to a gorgeous pair of cat mittens handmade by you and learn along the way about stranded colourwork, magic loop, and mitten construction.

This course is open to beginner knitters. All you need to be able to do is knit and purl stitches... We'll teach you the rest. :-)

What does it include?

The course dates include:

19 November - casting on, ribbing, and colourwork / magic loop basics

26 November - beginning the main colourwork and how to read charts

3 December - splitting for the hand & thumb

All sessions will be held at Edison's Monton on a Thursday evening beginning at 7 pm.

Tickets include a complimentary drink from the bar, including alcoholic options and cocktails, soft drinks, and coffee.

What do I need to bring?

Please note that the following materials will be necessary to bring along to the course:

Kitten Catch Mitten pattern (£4) purchased via Raverly and associated materials including:

2.25 mm and 2.5 mm circular needles (80 or 100 cm)

Fingering weight yarn, approximately 180 m of your main colour and 150 m of your contrast colour (the colour of the cats!).
