About This Event

The Three Towers Ultra returns to the West Pennine Moors on Saturday 19 September 2026, presenting runners with a choice of two technically demanding distances: 39 miles or 55 miles. The route takes in the three landmark towers of Darwen, Rivington and Peel, with total ascent reaching approximately 6,500 feet for the shorter course and just under 9,000 feet for the longer. The terrain consists largely of open moorland, which can become wet and boggy underfoot, marking this out as a serious test of both endurance and navigation. The event is open to a range of participants, with entry details available on the organisers’ website; the final venue in the Bolton area has yet to be confirmed.
