October Winter Walking Challenge 2026

We’re thrilled to welcome you to this year’s Winter Walking Challenge where throughout October we will focus on how walking increases your overall wellbeing, and how connection is key!

By signing up, you’ve taken the first step towards a healthier, happier start to the winter season. Whether you’re walking solo, with friends, family, or your canine companion, this challenge is all about getting outside more, come rain or shine, and developing your fitness and confidence.

This walk is the second of 4 group walks we will be hosting throughout October:

Each walk has a theme, this one is: Connecting to... nature. So we will be tuning into our senses to really take notice of the wildlife around us and take in the beauty of the walk rather than rushing from A to B.

We will be joined by Dawn from Dorset Dogs who will chat to use about some of the beautiful wildlife we can see and all things dogs in nature!

From here, we will walk approximately 7.20 miles, where you'll be rewarded with beautiful Purbeck countryside and heathland views.

We will include a break so please bring snacks and water.

We should be back at the car park by 1:30pm.

Appropriate footwear is essential.

Dogs are welcome but please book a dog ticket and follow site rules.
