October Winter Walking Challenge 2026

We’re thrilled to welcome you to this year’s Winter Walking Challenge where throughout October we will focus on how walking increases your overall wellbeing, and how connection is key!

By signing up, you’ve taken the first step towards a healthier, happier start to the winter season. Whether you’re walking solo, with friends, family, or your canine companion, this challenge is all about getting outside more, come rain or shine, and developing your fitness and confidence.

This walk is the third of 4 group walks we will be hosting throughout October:

Each walk has a theme, this one is: Connecting with... the coast. So we'll be tuning into how we are intertwined with the coast through our local history, the wonderful nature, and how being around water is so good for our wellbeing.

Meeting point: Studland Shell Bay National Trust Car Park, Ferry Road, BH193BA

Start Time: 10am

From here, we will walk approximately 4.5 miles around the Studland peninsula, including a stop in a bird hide to see what's around, guided by one of the team.

We will include a break so please bring snacks and water.

We should be back at the car park by 1-2pm

Appropriate footwear is essential.

Dogs are welcome but please book a dog ticket and follow site rules.
