About This Event

Scheduled for September 13, 2026, this afternoon workshop takes place at Ferndown Commercials in Bournemouth and focuses on mastering slow riding techniques with experts from DWDAM. The session is designed to address safety concerns related to low-speed motorcycle incidents, which constitute a significant portion of accidents. Want to avoid that embarrasing bike-drop in traffic, at a junction or when parking up? Come to our Free Slow Riding Techniques session for instruction, demonstration and then practice of slow riding techniques in a safe environment with our qualified Observers to offer advice and tips.

This event is supported by Dorset Council in their ongoing work to improve road safety for the ever vulnerable motorcyclist. All riders are welcome, regardless of experience or bike; bring your mates!

Have a go on our course set out on a tarmac car park and practice:

- balance exercises round cones

- slow riding round cones

- Figure of Eights

- braking exercise on a line

- stopping at speed
