Join Transition Town Bournemouth for a thought-provoking screening of OUR LAND, a timely documentary exploring one of England's most fundamental and contested questions: who owns the land beneath our feet, and who gets to enjoy it?

Despite England's rich landscapes, woodlands and rivers, the vast majority remain inaccessible to the public. Today, 92% of land and 97% of rivers in England are not legally open for public access. OUR LAND takes audiences deep into the growing Right to Roam movement as campaigners challenge these restrictions through mass trespasses, public education and direct action.

But the film goes beyond simple arguments of access versus exclusion. Alongside activists, it hears from landowners and custodians whose families have managed the landscape for generations, exploring concerns about conservation, environmental damage and the future stewardship of the countryside.

Beautifully filmed and deeply relevant, OUR LAND is both a celebration of England's landscapes and an invitation to rethink our relationship with them. At a time when nature, climate and public wellbeing are increasingly interconnected, the film asks what it would mean to create a countryside that works for everyone.
