The Keighley Walking Festival is delighted to announce a new offering for the autumn calendar: Let's Yoga and Walk. This refreshing event takes place on Saturday 26 September at the picturesque East Riddlesden Hall, promising a wonderfully balanced way to spend your morning. The day begins with a gentle, guided walk commencing at 11:00 AM, meandering along the scenic canal towpath. This is a perfect opportunity to soak in the local landscape and enjoy some light exercise in the crisp September air. Following the walk, participants will transition into a calming yoga session, also starting at 11:00 AM. The organisers have ensured that both the walk and the yoga are accessible to everyone, regardless of their prior experience. Whether you're a seasoned walker or a beginner yogi, or indeed both, this free event is designed to be inclusive and enjoyable for all abilities. It's a fantastic chance to connect with nature, improve your well-being, and discover the beauty of the Keighley area.

Why not come along, get active and make new friends on our walk and yoga session. Suitable for all ages. This session is part of the Keighley Walking Festival
Liz Waddington will guide a short canal walk to warm up, engage with nature & connect with the world around us. We will move to yoga spot at East Riddlesden Hall & take time to throw some yoga moves & make some yoga shapes flowing with ease & again with natures connectedness in mind. Liz will show how we can use our breath easily to change emotions & feeling; then we will take a beautiful relaxation emersed in nature.
Please bring
• a mat/blanket/towel/throw (you may be required to take this on the walk)
• a rain jacket
• a drink
Please consider using public transport to arrive at East Riddlesden Hall
Parents and Guardians are required to accompany their children on this walk.
We will meet outside the entrance to East Riddlesden Hall
Please wear clothing and footwear suitible for the weather
Book now
Please book one time slot per person. Please arrive no more than 15 minutes before your booked slot. These sessions are designed for adults and for children from seven years old upwards as an introduction to walking and are easy grade along our amazing towpaths. Learn a bit of history or see some awesome wildlife which is around every turn on our waterways .
Parents and Guardians are required to accompany their children on this walk.
Walk ins will not be accepted. If you can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket via Eventbrite or please get in touch with us to allow another person(s) a chance to take part. Social distancing measures will be in place and all equipment will be cleaned in between sessions.
