Join planning expert and author Clive Brook for a talk at All Saints' Church: 'Mid Wharfedale 2040 and Beyond - One Man's Vision'.

Planning expert Clive Brook invites you to a talk entitled Mid Wharfedale and Beyond - One Man's Vision. The talk will be in two linked parts and followed by a Q & A session. The first part will centre on the foundations of the vision as laid out in his book, Planning for Good or Ill. The second part looks forward to how the challenges addressed in his book could best be met in the future.

About Clive Brook:

Clive Brook (FRTPI, FRSA) was born in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire in 1944. He studied at Huddersfield College and Swansea University, gaining an honours degree in Geography. His post-graduateplanning studies were undertaken at what is now part of Anglia Ruskin University, leading to chartered membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute in 1971. He became a fellow of the Institute in 1991. His wide-ranging career in local governmentand consultancy spans five and a half decades and continues on a part-time basis.

In 1984 he established Clive Brook Associates in Leeds, subsequently expanding across the Pennines with a second office in Manchester. This led to a merger with Turley Associates and a main board role across eight UK offices.

In addition to his ongoing consultancy work, he undertakes voluntary roles for the RTPI, Bradford Property Forum and his local church and environment group. He lives in Wharfedale with his wife Jill, a valley location shared by the homes of his three children and four grandchildren.
