About This Event

48VOLTS are a non-profit Live Music Promotion Collective based in Sheffield! With the aim of connecting scenes all over the UK and championing grassroots bands, artists and DJs. We want to keep live music affordable and accessible to everyone, while helping grassroots venues thrive. EY UP BRIGHTON!!! We're so buzzing to be back after so long!!! We've been very busy up north planning this amazing show for you!! Since it's Freshers' Week,  we wanted to come and celebrate with you in the venue where we had our very first gig! We've also decided that this gig will let students pay whatever they can afford! Pay 50p for your ticket or £500 if you really want to; we want to keep this gig accessible for everyone!!!! General Admission is also as affordable as possible, with tickets at £4 advance and £6 on the door!!! We have SNM, a Brighton-based three-piece alt-punk rock band playing some explosive tunes that explore identity, catharsis, confession and protest. They've been making waves in the scene recently, and we can't wait to host such a great grassroots band!!! Hailing all the way from Sheffield, we have the blokes in orange: The Bad Actors! This groovy funk-rock duo are taking the Sheffield scene by storm, with a string of 2025 festival appearances and countless shows all across the country. We can't wait to see them paint Brighton town orange! We have SNM, a Brighton-based three-piece alt-punk rock band playing some explosive tunes that explore identity, catharsis, confession and protest. They've been making waves in the scene recently, and we can't wait to host such a great grassroots band!!! Also travelling south is Poet's Corner! Formed in Scunthorpe and now based in Sheffield, these four lads are doing the rounds in grassroots venues all over Yorkshire and beyond! They mix in sounds of punk from the 70s, 80s and 90s. A band that's somehow somewhere in between The Smiths, The Jam and Black Flag, they're not one to miss on their south coast debut! LUVD are a five-piece Brighton alt-rock band with a refreshing independent streak, authentic, catchy lyrical hooks, and a rhythm section you can really sink your teeth into, so make sure to get in early !!! Come on down to The Pipeline on Wednesday 16th September 2026 to see this mega line-up and celebrate Freshers' Week with us!! It's been almost a full year since our first gig at The Pipeline, and we can't wait to return! We're so happy that this venue has had its future secured by the legends at The Music Venue Trust, and we're so excited to continue supporting grassroots scenes in vital spaces like The Pipeline!
