This event is for people aged 50 & over.

Think of this as a smaller, slower-paced version of my larger evening Speed Friending events, designed especially for anyone who prefers a more intimate setting.

These sessions take place in a cosy meeting room, creating a warm, relaxed environment rather than a busy evening pub atmosphere. Each event is age-specific and limited to on average 6 people, so the group stays small, friendly and comfortable.

It’s still all about making new friends, just in a gentler way. You’ll have short one-to-one chats with each person, with a relaxed rhythm and no rushing. Because the group is small, conversations feel more natural and manageable, and there’s space to pause, grab a drink, and settle in at your own pace.

This format is ideal if you:

Prefer smaller groups

Feel more comfortable in quieter spaces

Enjoy slower, more meaningful conversations

Are free during the day rather than in the evenings

You don’t need to be confident or outgoing to take part. Many people come on their own, and there’s no pressure to talk more than feels comfortable.

The aim is simply to offer a calm, welcoming way to meet new people locally and build new friendships in a cosy, small-group setting.
