📖 Creative Sketchbook Club: From Idea to ArtworkA monthly sketchbook practice designed to help you find (or rediscover) your creative voice.

Have art materials sitting at home waiting to be used? Bought a beautiful sketchbook, but aren't sure where to start? Full of ideas but struggling to turn them into finished artwork?

Creative Sketchbook Club at Liberation Art Gallery is a welcoming monthly session designed to help you build confidence, develop ideas, and create a sustainable creative practice in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Whether you're a complete beginner, returning to creativity after a long break, or simply looking for some inspiration and accountability, this is a gentle space to experiment, learn, and grow alongside other like-minded people.

Over time, we'll explore the journey from idea generation and visual brainstorming to developing concepts in your sketchbook, and eventually transforming those ideas into finished artwork.

Each session will include creative prompts, demonstrations, practical tips, and light-touch guidance from a facilitator, while leaving plenty of room for your own interests and creative direction to emerge.

🌱 What you'll explore

Building confidence in your creativity

Developing a regular sketchbook practice

Brainstorming and expanding ideas

Experimenting with different materials and techniques

Moving from initial ideas to finished artworks

Discovering your own creative voice

🎨 Bring your own materials

Please bring your own sketchbook and any materials you'd like to work with. We especially encourage you to dust off those art supplies you've bought with the best intentions but never quite knew how to use.

We'll also have a selection of basic art materials available for everyone to experiment with.

This is a wonderful opportunity to finally start exploring those pencils, paints, inks, pens, or collage materials that have been sitting at home waiting for the right moment.

👥 A supportive creative community

At its heart, this workshop is about creating a supportive and encouraging atmosphere where creativity can flourish.

There is no pressure to be "good at art" or produce finished pieces every session. Instead, we'll focus on curiosity, experimentation, and helping one another blossom creatively.

Many participants come along independently, making this a lovely opportunity to meet other people who are also looking to build a regular creative practice.

📅 Flexible booking options

Join us for a one-off session or save when you book a series of 3 or 6 sessions.

Most sessions will take place on Sundays. However, as part of Liberation Art Gallery's commitment to accessibility, we'll coordinate future dates around the availability of participants wherever possible.

We believe creativity should fit around your life, not the other way around.

Each workshop lasts 2 hours.
