Learn about local flora and fungi through a historical and scientific lens during this fascinating guided Ethnobotany tour.

Spend the morning with professional nature educator, Leo Utton, as he takes you on a journey around Woods Mill Nature Reserve, introducing you to the plants and fungi of the current season.

Get tips on botanical identification, plant toxicity and chemical profiles and hear stories about the cultural and historical relationship between people and plants, including edibility and medicinal value.

By the end of the morning, we hope you will leave with a greater sense of wonder, respect and care for our local flora and fungi and a deeper understanding of the importance of preserving the natural spaces they call home.

You are welcome to stay and enjoy the reserve after the walk.

Meeting point and directions: We will meet by the picnic tables directly across the bridge from the car park.
