About This Event

Diwali Kirtan Gathering on Friday 6 November. Heart centred easy to learn mantras Join Sasha and James on the drum in Diwali Kirtan Gathering — gentle, repetitive mantras that are easy to learn and open to everyone. Kirtan is a beautiful form of sound‑based meditation, where the mind softens through rhythm and repetition, and the heart settles into stillness. We’ll close with a short mindfulness meditation, offering a peaceful way to integrate the practice and honour the spirit of Diwali: light, renewal, and shared connection. By donation. Reserve your place: https://www.thefloatspa.co.uk/book-now/ Proceeds support Together Co charity (minus costs). Kirtan is a devotional practice of chanting. Mantras are easy to learn and repetitive, they are usually in ancient Sanskrit. Sasha will give a brief introduction to each mantra. Singing in a group can create a joyful, meditative, heart‑opening practice. We close with a guided meditation. All welcome. This kirtan is by donation, proceeds are donated to Togather Co Charity and cover costs. Sasha trained to lead kirtan with Gratia Churchill and loves the heart centred practice of chanting mantras. Sasha is also a MIndfulness teacher and trained at the Sussex Mindfulness Centre. Together Co is a social health and loneliness charity, helping people in Brighton & Hove build lasting connections and feel part of their community.
