About Lucinda Button
Lucinda Button, a graduate of the Glasgow School of Art, has followed a varied creative path shaped by her experiences living abroad and her lifelong connection to the natural world. From early memories of Kenya’s beaches to a career in journalism, teaching and interior design, her fascination with colour, texture and storytelling has remained constant. Today, her textile work combines these experiences with a deep concern for the environment, using textiles and recycled materials to create pieces inspired by land and sea that encourage reflection and a greater awareness of the world around us.

Sussex Bay launched in Brighton in June 2024 and is co-producing a blueprint for seascape recovery over the years ahead, as they build up £50M for nature-led recovery and engage communities around their work.
