On Thursday 15 October, Brighton’s A L P H A B E T will host a night of heavy psychedelic rock, headlined by Brazilian duo Firefriend. Their sound fuses fuzzed-out guitar, motorik drumming and droning vocals, drawing on 1960s garage-psych and 1990s shoegaze. Pete Bassman, formerly of Spacemen 3, delivers a bass-driven, minimalist drone, while Thee Lucifer Sams and Madonovan open with raw, reverb-laden sets. The evening is presented by the Liverpool Psychedelic Society and runs from 7pm. Tickets cost £21.84.
