A relaxed evening of making things up

Improv is all about telling stories without a script, by playing games with other people. Someone says a line, someone else adds the next one, and between you, you create something out of nothing.

Improv suits more people than you'd think. It's good if you'd like to meet people and would rather do it whilst laughing, rather than over small talk. It's good if you overthink things and fancy a couple of hours off from it. It's good if you'd like to be funnier. No experience is needed.

We keep things relaxed, so you can take everything at your own pace. You can sit a game out or watch for a while first. Whatever you fancy joining in with is exactly the right amount.

There are two of these to start with, one on a Saturday morning and one on a weeknight and you're welcome to whichever suits you better. I'll be asking at the end what you'd like more of, because the plan is a longer course from February and I'd rather build it around the people who turn up.

I'm Ali Hannon, a comedic improvisor with over fifteen years on stage, including with the multi-award-winning Short and Girlie Show, and as founder of the improv collective More to Honk With.

I've been teaching improv for over ten years, and my workshops have a reputation as places of safety, trust and support.
