A discussion on artificial intelligence is hosted at Farm Tavern in Hove. The event invites participants to explore AI through conversation, focusing on practical uses, ethical dilemmas, and personal experiences rather than technical jargon. Attendees are encouraged to bring questions and share stories.
Curious about A.I. but not sure where to begin? Or already using it every day and keen to share ideas? Join us for a relaxed, friendly evening exploring artificial intelligence through conversation rather than technical jargon. Whether you're completely new to AI or use it every day, you'll be very welcome. Every meeting will be different, so bring your questions, favourite AI tools, surprising discoveries, ethical dilemmas, success stories, or even the things AI gets hilariously wrong! The aim is to learn from one another in an open, respectful atmosphere where everyone has something to contribute. The focus won't be so much on the technical side of AI as it will be on comparing experiences, sharing ideas, and learning from each other. We'll spend the first part of the evening exploring practical ways people are using AI in everyday life and work, then move on to discussing its impact on society, relationships, creativity, education, and the future. If the conversation takes us there, we'll finish by exploring some of the bigger philosophical questions AI raises about intelligence, consciousness, creativity, and what it means to be human. To get you thinking beforehand: • What are you currently using AI for? • What's confusing or frustrating you about it? • What do you wish it could do? • Has AI changed the way you think, work, or create? • What's the most surprising thing AI has done for you? If there's enough interest, we'd love this to become a regular gathering, meeting roughly every fortnight. If you'd be interested in coming, we are interested where your main interest lies: 1. Practical – Using AI more effectively in everyday life and work. 2. Social – Exploring how AI is changing people, relationships, education, creativity, and society. 3. Philosophical – Discussing the bigger questions AI raises about intelligence, consciousness, ethics, and the future. 4. All of the above – Because it's all fascinating! Whether you're curious, cautious, enthusiastic, or s
