🌟 NeuroCurious: Caring for Neurodivergent Kids and Their Carers

Caring for kids, caring for carers.

With more children and young people than ever being identified as neurodivergent, and society and systems still catching up on understanding and support, many of us are feeling alone in how best to care for them. You are not alone, and this space is for you.

NeuroCurious is back for its fourth edition, this time for everyone who loves and cares for a neurodivergent child or young person. Come with a partner, friend or fellow carer. Learning this together is where the real shift happens. No prior knowledge needed. Just curiosity.

✨ Understand More. Connect Better.

We'll explore the more unspoken parts of caring for our children: the 4 o'clock meltdowns, the dysregulation that sometimes only certain people see, and the parts of caring that can leave us feeling most isolated.

We'll also explore why caring for the carers is vital. Without looking after ourselves, it's impossible to do the best by our children. This is about helping you understand, connect with and support the children and young people in your life, and feel supported yourself.

🎯 What To Expect

Created and led by Jess Rad (she/her), Creator of NeuroCurious and national award-winning Founder of The WomenHood, with a diverse lineup of speakers, this event weaves together three essential elements:

Knowledge: nervous system regulation and the parent carer perspective, accessibly explained

Mindset: professional support, psychedelic therapy and a holistic reframe of why our children have been gifted to us

Toolkit: practical ways to connect with our children and care for ourselves too

All wrapped up in the NeuroCurious format of inclusivity, accessibility and a sense of belonging.

Guest speakers

Marsha Martin - Founder and CEO of Black SEN Mamas

Claire Cordell - Medicine and Integration Coach, Founder of Little Gate Farm

Matt Rider - Senior Practitioner, CAPA First Response CIC

Bec Milligan - EFT (Tapping) Practitioner and Trainer, BANT registered Nutritionist, and parent of a neurodivergent son

💫 The NeuroCurious Mission

To diversify, normalise and celebrate neurodiversity, changing how society thinks about different minds. Every NeuroCurious event is a step towards a world where every mind is understood, welcomed and valued.

👥 Who Is It For?

Parents and carers of neurodivergent children and young people

Step parents, grandparents and extended family

Anyone who loves or supports a neurodivergent child

Anyone curious: you don't need a diagnosis or any prior knowledge

We warmly welcome and invite the broad spectrum of people caring for neurodivergent children and young people, and we warmly invite the LGBTQIA+ community, a big part of the ND community 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

📌 What This Event Isn't

To keep our time together focused and kind, we won't be exploring the EHCP process, diagnosis or politics. These matter deeply and deserve their own dedicated spaces. Here, we're focusing on you, your child and the connection between you.
