***NB Neither Teresa, Roz or I can make it tonight, so Sheila has agreed to host - be kind to her!*** Hi everyone, as autumn nights are drawing in, I've re-launched our 'regular' weekly quiz nights at The Railway, Portslade. I'm planning to book a table of 6 most weeks as long as there's enough interest. If the quiz is showing as full, put your name on the waitlist - and don't forget to include your phone number when you RSVP, in case it's last-minute! The food at this pub is terrific - and not expensive! They have 2-4-1 curries , fabulous bowls or chips, with or without cheese, 12 flavours of gelato - need I go on! So I recommend arriving early (about 7.15) - and hungry!!! Quiz starts at 8 pm, and ends by 10.15. BUT NB I CAN ONLY BOOK A TABLE FOR THESE QUIZZES ONE WEEK IN ADVANCE, SO THEY'RE NEVER CONFIRMED UNTIL I GET THE TABLE!! In order to claim our full table, we need to arrive between 7.15 and 7.30. Please bring scrap paper, a pen and £3 CASH for the quiz (and maybe a small torch that's not attached to your phone - lighting's sometimes a bit sparse!). I'll be collecting £2 Meetup fee from everyone unless you've opted to pay £10 annually. *This quiz is run by professional quizzers Quiz Actually, and they present a really good mix of questions and types of rounds every week. All the questions are shown on big screens throughout the pub.*
