The Sea Fest 2026 Youth Marine Festival will take place on 19 September 2026 at the Rottingdean Whiteway Centre in Brighton. The event brings a day of marine-related activities, allowing attendees to explore and learn about Sussex's marine wildlife.

A Marine Festival for 16-30 Year Olds

Curious about what lives along the Sussex coast?

Book your ticket for Sea Fest, a youth-led marine festival created by the Sussex Wildlife Trust Youth Rangers. Designed for 16-30 year olds, Sea Fest is a chance to explore the coast, learn something new, meet like-minded people and discover the amazing marine wildlife found right here in Sussex.

You don't need any previous knowledge of marine life or conservation to take part. Whether you're passionate about the ocean already or simply looking for a fun and interesting day out, Sea Fest is a welcoming space to connect with nature and learn more about the sea on your doorstep.

Throughout the day, you'll have the chance to explore rock pools, hear from inspiring speakers, take part in creative activities, watch a film screening, meet local organisations and enjoy a guided coastal bird walk.

What's On?

🌊 Guided Rock Pooling Discover the hidden world of Sussex's rock pools and learn about the fascinating creatures that call them home.

🎤 Talks and Q&As Hear from organisations working to protect marine wildlife and learn more about the challenges facing our seas.

🎨 Creative Activities Take part in ocean-inspired creative activities and contribute your ideas for a healthier future for our marine environment.

🎬 Film Screening Watch a marine-themed film and join a discussion about our connection to the sea.

🤝 Community and Conservation Stalls Meet organisations, explore opportunities and find out more about marine and environmental work happening across Sussex.

🐦 Coastal Bird Walk Finish the day with a guided walk along the beach, discovering the birds and wildlife that depend on our coastline.

About Sea Fest

Sea Fest has been designed and organised by the Sussex Wildlife Trust Youth Rangers, a group of volunteers aged 16-25 who are passionate about creating opportunities for young people to connect with nature.

The festival aims to help more young people discover the incredible marine environment around Sussex, learn about the wildlife living on our shores, and explore how we can all play a part in protecting it.

Come along, explore the coast, meet new people and discover the marine world around you.
