The Tin Hut Talks event takes place on 20 August 2026 at Shoreham Fort in Brighton. Tickets cost £8.00 for the sixth guest speaker of the 2026 series. The talk is hosted in a WWI Nissen Hut.
Our sixth guest speaker for our 2026 'Tin Hut Talks' series, in the last useable WWI Nissen Hut in the country.
This month's Tin Hut Talk guest speaker is Jamey Appleby, who joined us last year and shared just a small section of her immense knowledge, on the Resitance movement throughout Europe in WWII.
We are thrilled to welcome Jamey back and can't wait to learn about an exceptionally brave and committed individual and his fight against Nazi Germany. Resistance Leader, Jean Moulin, was betrayed and killed in 1943 but how did he come to be in German hands and who was responsible for his death?
Jamey introduces you to the suspects, what we know happened and the many theories and legends surrounding the events of Summer 1943.
Do come and join us in welcoming Jamey back to Shoreham Fort, where you will find a hot drink waiting for you which included in the price.
Doors will be open from 18:30 for a 19:00 start.
