Aim
Are you tired of taking photographs that feel like they’re missing something?
Do you have ideas or feelings you want to express through your photography but don’t know how to bring them together into a story?
Are you looking to develop a more personal voice, go deeper creatively, or connect your images with meaning and purpose?
In this workshop, I will guide you to move beyond capturing isolated, one-off images and into the deeper, more meaningful world of photographic storytelling.
You will learn how to use photography as a tool to create stories that reflect your ideas, emotions, and perspective on the world.
We’ll explore how to build narratives, create visual connections between images, and express your creative voice with greater clarity and intention.
You’ll also engage in a collaborative environment where participants playfully respond to each other’s work around shared themes adding a new dimension to how you see and communicate through your photographs.

At the end of the workshop you will be able to:
- Understand the core principles of visual storytelling and how they differ from individual image-making
- Develop and communicate a photographic idea or concept across a sequence of images
- Build creative relationships between photos using composition, rhythm, symbolism, and emotional tone
- Engage in constructive dialogue and creative exchange by responding to the work of others
- Reflect critically on your own images and the choices you made during the creative process
- Gain greater clarity in your visual language and confidence in expressing your photographic voice

Camera guidelines
A DSLR camera is ideally the best type of camera you can have if you want to really explore and experiment with photography at a beginner level. However, all types of cameras are welcome, as long as they have a manual shooting mode setting.

Minimum age is 12 year old students attending on their own. For younger children please contact us.
