Over ten dedicated studio sessions, you'll learn how to design, carve and print your own original linocut and woodblock prints.

Join linocut printmaker and tutor Victoria Willmott for ten weeks of creative exploration in a working printmaking studio. Whether you're completely new to linocut or looking to develop existing skills, this welcoming course will guide you through a range of relief printmaking techniques while helping you build confidence in your own creative practice.

Over ten dedicated studio sessions, you'll learn how to design, carve and print your own original linocut and woodblock prints. Through demonstrations, practical tuition, group discussion and individual support, you'll be encouraged to develop your own ideas and discover your personal approach to printmaking.

Victoria is an experienced printmaker and teacher who will help you realise your creative ideas while introducing key techniques, materials and processes used in contemporary linocut printing.

Many past students have commented on how calming, absorbing and therapeutic the process of linocutting can be. Working regularly in a creative studio environment offers the opportunity to focus, slow down, develop new skills and share ideas with a supportive group of fellow printmakers.

Course includes:

Week 1: Introduction to Linocut

Week 2-4: Multi block printing

Week 4: Jigsaw Printing

Week 5: Printing & Review of work

Half term

Weeks 6-7: Reduction Lino

Week 8-9: Introduction to Woodcut Printing

Week 10: Final printing & Review of the term

Suitable for beginners and those with some previous experience of drawing, printmaking or linocut. All skill levels are welcome, and guidance will be tailored to individual experience and interests.
