Bristol Area Travel Companion Research

We’re looking for people to take part in a paid research study about everyday train journeys on GWR services. Register below for more information.

This study is especially for neurodivergent people, people with a learning difficulty or cognitive difference, and parents or carers travelling with children.

Does this sound like you?

1) You make at least two GWR journeys a week.

2) You travel around Bristol. Preference if your home station is one of the following:

Lawrence Hill

Stapleton Road

Montpelier

Redland

Clifton Down

Sea Mills

Shirehampton

Avonmouth

Severn Beach

Bedminster

Parson Street

3) You have a smartphone with WhatsApp and mobile data.

4) You’re comfortable talking about your journeys in English.

What’s involved.

A couple of quick questions on WhatsApp before and after some of your journeys.

A short weekly check-in on how your travelling week went.

Nothing new to download. It all happens through WhatsApp, an app you already use.

The study runs for six weeks.

By registering, you agree that your name and contact details will be shared with our research partner, People for Research, who will call or email you about taking part. Taking part itself is voluntary and you can withdraw at any time. Your answers are kept confidential and used for research purposes only, in line with GDPR.
