About This Event

American singer-songwriter Dave Hause brings his band The Mermaid to Thekla on Tuesday 19 January 2027, performing roots-rock and punk-infused folk drawn from his solo catalogue. The show begins at 6.30pm on the venue’s moored ship, where low ceilings and wooden interiors create a close, humid atmosphere for the evening. Hause’s rasping vocals and storytelling lyrics, taken from albums such as *Drive & Seek* and *Blood Harmony*, are matched by the band’s driving guitar work and tight rhythms. The intimate space means the sound is immediate and full, with the crowd pressed against the stage as the set builds from quieter ballads to louder, anthemic choruses. Tickets are priced at £29.13.
