From The Jam brings the raw energy of late-70s punk and mod revival to The Fleece in Bristol on 1 November 2026. Formed from former members of The Jam’s touring outfit, the band faithfully recreates the intensity of classics such as *Going Underground* and *Eton Rifles* with tight rhythms and sharp guitar work. The venue’s low ceiling and exposed brick walls amplify the sound, creating a close, sweaty atmosphere that perfectly suits the material. Tickets are priced at £33.60, with doors opening at 7pm for an evening of driving basslines and anthemic choruses.

plus Nicky Weller (sister of The Jam's iconic frontman Paul Weller) live in conversation with From The Jam's Russell Hastings sharing stories and memories from 'Growing up with The Jam
From The Jam is the essential live celebration of the music of The Jam.
Formed naturally in 2004 by Russell Hastings with two-thirds of the band's original lineup, including drummer Rick Buckler (The Jam) and bassist Bruce Foxton (The Jam), From The Jam are remarkable in their ability to tap into the same energy, passion and sound as the guys produced in those five special years from 77 through to 82, transporting fans directly into the world of the music that we all know and love.
“I just go up and sing the songs how I remember them being sung and I am many thousands of shows in now and I also had the good fortune of playing with Bruce and Rick for many years and then becoming my dearest friends so we ended up sharing the idiosyncrasies of the songs which I guess gives its authenticity. Who knows? It just works and people love singing those songs that mean so much to them!” - Russell Hastings.
Rick left the band in 2010 to pursue other projects leaving Bruce and Russell to join forces with Mark Brzezicki from Big Country on drum duties. It was around this time that the first ‘Foxton and Hastings’ album was born. Back In The Room was recorded at Paul Weller’s Black Barn Studios and also featuring Paul Weller on three or four songs including taking piano duties on the hit single ‘Number Six’.
The band continued to tour extensively to adoring fans worldwide before 2015 bought about the second album ‘Smash The Clock’, released to rave reviews and featuring guests such as Steve Cropper, Wilco Johnson, Paul Weller and Paul Jones to name a few.
From this period on the band's popularity saw them become mainstays at major festivals and regularly filling iconic venues all over the world and indeed back on home turf, including the Brighton Centre, Barrowland Ballroom Glasgow, Rock City Nottingham, and many more.
Bruce recently made the decision to retire from touring, performing his last show in August 2025. Meanwhile, Russell and the rest of the band continue forward with From The Jam, spreading the joy and legacy of these wonderful songs while also celebrating tracks from the last three chart topping albums, making for a high energy night of fantastic music performed with precision, passion and joy.
“Close your eyes, it’s The Jam”
Alan McGee
“We ain’t getting anything closer than these boys to the sound and the stage energy is still up there where it always was!!”
Gary Crowley - radio and TV presenter and lifelong Jam fan.
“These songs sound just like when my brother used to play them with Bruce and Rick and I am the biggest critic!”
Nicky Weller
“The great thing about this band is that Russell doesn’t try to be Paul. He brings his own persona to the party and that just creates the magic that happens on stage.”

From the Jam refers to various groups from the 1960s and 1970s that used the name "From the Jam" for their recordings or performances. These bands are often grouped together as they share a similar style of garage rock and mod revival music, though each group had its own distinct sound and history within this genre.
