Join us for a creative and relaxed sewing-skills learning day with expert tutors. Learn hand and machine sewing skills, the subversive and rebellious art of mending, and learn how to fix or alter your own garment.

Weronika, Founder of Weaving Change - A Bristol based slow fashion champion who creates spaces for people to come together to explore identity, culture and mindful practice through mending and craft.
Lou, Founder of Rio Wild - A Bristol based sustainable fashion brand and slow fashion champion who creates programmes and workshops teaching humans of all ages how to reconnect with their garments and each other.
Your day will look like this:
10:00 Arrival and refreshments
10:15 Weronika leads discussion on identity and slow fashion
10:30 Hand and machine sewing skills introduction
12:00 Break - please explore the local area for tasty delights or bring your own lunch and enjoy a chat
13:00 Mend or alter your brought garment
All equipment provided and beginners welcome - we only ask that you bring an every-day garment that requires mending or altering in some way.*
Entry requirements - Over 16s only
* Please note that if you require a broken zipper or button replacement, you must bring these with you. Please call Lou on 07899 945 377 to discuss your requirements ahead of the day.
