Neurodiverse and Thriving Through Change: ADHD, Hormones and Menopause
What happens when ADHD meets hormonal change?
For many women, the relationship between ADHD and hormones is something they've never been taught about, despite the potential impact on their concentration, emotional regulation, sleep, energy and everyday life.
In this interactive session, Elli will explore how hormonal fluctuations throughout the menstrual cycle and perimenopause can influence ADHD symptoms, why ADHD in women is so often misunderstood or missed, and what we currently know about the relationship between hormones and the brain.
We'll challenge common misconceptions, explore practical strategies and create space for questions, reflection and shared learning.
Attendees will leave with:
A better understanding of how hormonal changes can affect ADHD symptoms.
Greater awareness of why ADHD in women is often missed, misunderstood or misdiagnosed.
Practical ideas for managing symptoms and accessing appropriate support.
Greater confidence in recognising their own experiences and advocating for their needs.
Fulfilling converstations and shared experiences with local women
