Brew something inspired by a Santa's big night out

There was me enjoying October, to suddenly realise its time to organise Christmas! Are we running out of ideas? Not quite yet.

This year’s theme will be Santa’s Journey.

How does this year's work? Well, as before, two brewers get paired up and assigned a country at random that Santa will visit on the big night. All you need to do is brew something inspired by it, maybe a style from that country, maybe just inspired by the country or a city there. The choice is yours. As a departure from our usual format we will then drink them in the order Santa emptied his sack, lucky enough to get Lapland, you get to choose first or last.

You have until Sunday 25th October to sign up. After that brewers will be paired up and assigned a country at random. Then you have until our Christmas party in December to brew together and do your country proud.

For those new to the club, all challenges are free to our Patrons who, for £5 a month support the club and allow us to organise meetups, buy club merch and attend events such as Love & Beer. Everyone else is welcome and encouraged to join us for the Christmas challenge but we do ask for a one-off contribution of £10 to the club. Or simply, become a Patreon (https://www.patreon.com/HombrewCollab).

If you're new and want to take part but don't have a brew kit (we all started somewhere), just make a note in your signup and we'll pair you with an experienced brewer - pick their brains, find out more about their brewing journey and get stuck into an amazing hobby.

As always, everyone else is welcome to join us for our Christmas party on Wednesday 16th December at Wiper and True, Old Market to try the brews, meet new people and celebrate our annual festive get together.
