Explore the ancient technique of egg tempera painting. Using egg yolk, water and pigment you can create vibrant paintings.

Come and join this introductory session and discover egg tempera painting.

Full disclaimer! I am new to this ancient technique but am inviting you to come along and explore it with me. Using only egg yolk, water and pure pigment we will create sea and skyscapes. If you enjoy watercolours but would like to use more vibrant pigments or if you would like a less toxic alternative to oil painting, egg tempera could be for you. We will explore colour mixing, layering and glazing techniques.

Suitable to people who have some experience of painting.

This class will be held in my studio at BV Studios and so is limited to 3 participants.

All materials and tuition provided, including tea and coffee but bring your own lunch. (Delicious lunches available to buy at the farm opposite the studio)
