*"... a technicolour fantasia brimming with scathing social commentary ..."* ★★★★ Leila Latif, Little White Lies We're going to see Boots Riley’s second feature, *I Love Boosters*. We'll meet in the Watershed cafe/bar from 7:15 pm, to say hello and chat. Afterwards, we will stop for a few minutes to talk about the film. Buy your own ticket from the box office or [online](https://boxoffice.watershed.co.uk/ticketbooth/shows/1173694294/events/428907735?l=i). ABOUT THE FILM "The writer-director behind *Sorry to Bother You*, is back with another idiosyncratic, anti-capitalist vision, featuring an all-star cast that includes Keke Palmer, Naomi Ackie, LaKeith Stanfield and Demi Moore. "Corvette is an aspiring fashion designer and leader of The Velvet Gang, a group of ‘boosters’ who rob clothes from fashion entrepreneur Christie Smith’s boutiques. But when Smith steals one of Corvette’s designs, The Velvet Gang are pushed to the next level." — Watershed summary "I find it hard to wish Riley would rein himself in when the excess is so much a part of the film’s joy." ★★★★ Angie Han, Hollywood Reporter "*I Love Boosters*, Boots Riley’s candy-colored indictment of capitalism, is as sharp as it is deranged. Living somewhere along the spectrum of magical realism, the entire film is a brilliant balancing act of comedy and call-to-action that sprinkles a little philosophy in-between." ★★★★ Alyssa Mora, IGN "An exuberantly inventive but overstretched comedy about the redistribution of luxury goods and the chic that goes with them." ★★★ Richard Brody, The New Yorker
