About This Event

Tegg's Nose Country Park near Buxton is set to host an engaging five-week course designed to deepen your appreciation and understanding of autumn's avian visitors. Beginning on Tuesday, 10 November, at 10:00 AM, the sessions promise to be an enriching experience for anyone keen to connect with nature. Guided by Tina from the renowned Nature Stuff organisation, the course will focus on equipping participants with practical birdwatching skills. Attendees will learn to identify different species, understand their behaviour patterns as the seasons change, and perhaps even discover the subtle nuances of bird calls. This is a fantastic opportunity to sharpen your observational abilities and gain a greater insight into the feathered inhabitants of our countryside. As an outdoor event, participants should dress appropriately for the weather. The full five-week course is priced at £75.00, offering excellent value for a season of learning and exploration in the beautiful surroundings of Tegg's Nose.

Suitable for beginners, improvers and those wanting to learn more about bird identification, behaviour and conservation.

The course will visit different locations each week. As well as identification tips and field craft the course will cover topics such as bird habitats and adaptations. Sessions will examine the environmental issues facing local bird populations and how wildlife habitat management practice can address them – new topics and issues considered every session!

Enjoy getting out into local green spaces and understanding more about our wild birds. 2-hour sessions on the following Tuesday mornings - November 10th, 17th, 24th and December 1st and 8th.

2 hour sessions on Tuesday mornings 10.00am - 12.00pm noon

Full Course fee (5 sessions) - £75. Fee to be paid in full at the start of the course.
