The Story Behind Arighi Bianchi - with Nick Bianchi

As part of Macclesfield Coffee Festival, step inside the story of one of Cheshire’s most iconic landmarks and discover over 170 years of Arighi Bianchi.

Join Nick Bianchi, fourth-generation member of the Bianchi family, as he takes you through the remarkable history of the family business, from its beginnings in 1854 to the four floor world of furniture and interiors it is today.

Nick will share stories from generations of the Bianchi family, the evolution of the famous Macclesfield store and how Arighi Bianchi has continued to change with the times - including the journey from its original Café Bar Arighi, to the Caffè AB you see today.

Whether you’ve been visiting Arighi Bianchi for decades or have always wondered about the story behind the building, come along and discover a piece of Macclesfield history from someone who grew up right at the heart of it.

And, of course, it wouldn’t be a Coffee Festival without coffee! Stop by, collect your stamp on the festival map and enjoy complimentary coffee tasters from 1pm -2:30pm, plus the chance to win a coffee hamper, as you make your way around Macclesfield.
