Music for an autumn evening.

Newnham is excited to announce a new programme of music events at College; launching with a gala performance in the grand surroundings of Clough Hall on 22 October 2026, given by internationally acclaimed soprano Lucy Crowe OBE (https://askonasholt.com/artist/lucy-crowe) and renowned pianist Anna Tilbrook (https://www.annatilbrook.co.uk/).

The Autumn Leaves concert programme will include Strauss Four Last Songs, Dvorak Gypsy Songs and music setting of Autumnal texts by Felix & Fanny Mendelssohn, as well as works by Chaminade, Fauré and Madeleine Dring.

The evening will be the start of a recital series which will turn all corners of the College into concert spaces, to surprise audiences and to showcase exciting performers - more details below.

Pre drinks: 6.30pm in Lucia Windsor Room

Performance starts: 7.30pm in Clough Hall

Interval: 8.10pm in Lucia Windsor Room

Performance resumes: 8.30pm

Performance ends: 9.15pm
