Caru Lins (vocals), Vicki Kenny (piano), Giulio Lampronti (double bass)

Brazilian-born singer Caru Lins leads her trio in a vibrant celebration of Antônio Carlos Jobim, the visionary composer who transformed Brazilian music and helped shape the sound of modern jazz. Drawing on more than 25 years of international experience performing across Brazil, the UK, Italy, Malaysia, Panama and Sweden — including appearances at Ronnie Scott’s, The Jazz Cafe and Penang Jazz Festival — Caru brings authenticity, warmth and a distinctly Brazilian perspective to Jobim’s remarkable repertoire. Beyond The Girl from Ipanema combines iconic favourites with rarely heard gems, revealing the extraordinary breadth of his songbook. Interwoven with stories from Jobim’s life and creative world, expect an intimate journey through sophisticated jazz harmonies, lyrical melodies and irresistible Brazilian rhythms, rediscovering the master beyond the familiar classics.
