Please join us to discuss *Digger*, the highly anticipated new black comedy from director Alejandro Inarrritu. It has been a decade since Inarritu's last project (*The Revenant*), a film that made him just the third person ever to win back-to-back Oscars for Best Director (having won for *Birdman* the year before). The film stars Tom Cruise as a powerful industrialist who causes Earth's sudden environmental collapse and is inexplicably put in charge of saving humanity. Indeed, *Digger* marks a potential return for Cruise as much as it does Inarritu. His career of late has been all-but-dedicated to *Missions Impossible*, but early reports suggest *Digger* will be a reminder of Cruise's genuine acting prowess. He has been nominated for acting three times at the Oscars but not since *Magnolia* a quarter of a century ago, but early reports indicate that he is a front runner to win for the first time at this year's ceremony. **Etiquette** The Alexandra Arms kindly provides us significant seating space at no extra cost, so we encourage everybody to purchase a drink upon arrival.
