Join us for a unique foraging experience at Milton Country Park.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or a budding forager wanting to expand your knowledge, this guided walk will equip you with the confidence and skills to safely identify and enjoy the edible plants all around us.
WHAT TO EXPECT.
During this 3-hour walk, you will:
🌿 Learn to safely identify 6–8 common edible plants growing in the park.
🌿 Discover the best ways to forage responsibly, with respect for nature and local habitats.
🌿 Hear fascinating facts about the history, folklore, and traditional uses of wild foods.
🌿 Enjoy tasters and samples along the way — experience wild flavours you may never have tried before!
🌿 Receive a handy foraging booklet and a notebook to jot down your finds and notes — perfect to keep you inspired on your own future walks.
🌿 Take away our identification cards and recipes!
WHAT TO BRING.
To help you get the most out of your foraging adventure, here’s what we recommend you pack:
✔️ Comfy, sturdy shoes — we will be exploring natural paths and woodland trails.
✔️ Weather-ready clothes — rain or shine, nature doesn’t stop (and neither do we). Layers are your friend!
✔️ A reusable water bottle — stay hydrated while we hunt for wild treats.
✔️ A pen — you’ll get a notebook to record your discoveries, so bring a pen to jot down all those wild facts.
