***Sometimes, I doubt your commitment to Sparkle Motion!*** Join us for **Donnie Darko**, Richard Kelly's cult 2001 psychological thriller starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Jena Malone, Drew Barrymore and Patrick Swayze. And what better night to revisit this wonderfully strange film than Halloween itself? Set in 1988, the film follows troubled teenager Donnie Darko, who narrowly escapes a bizarre accident before encountering Frank, a sinister figure in a giant rabbit costume who warns him that the world is about to end. What follows is a mind-bending mixture of mystery, time travel and teenage angst. And since it's Halloween, feel free to come dressed as a skeleton or a terrifying six-foot rabbit! Fancy dress is entirely optional, of course. Your usual human suit will do just fine. 🎃 📅 Saturday 31st October 🎥 Film starts: 8:20pm 🕢 Film finishes: approximately 10:30pm 📍 The Light, Cambridge Leisure Park 🎟️ **BOOKING YOUR TICKET** Everyone books their own cinema ticket using the link below: [https://cambridge.thelight.co.uk/donnie-darko](https://cambridge.thelight.co.uk/donnie-darko) I've booked **seat D12**, so feel free to book somewhere nearby if you'd like to sit together. When you've booked your seat, you can post a comment to share your seat number so other members know where you're sitting. We won't be meeting in the foyer beforehand. Just head straight into the screening, find your seat and say hello! No need to arrive early or worry about finding the group. 🎃 **A QUICK CHAT AFTERWARDS** As this is a later screening, we won't be organising our usual drinks and film chat afterwards, but we can have a quick catch-up in the foyer before heading home. Whether you're revisiting an old favourite or experiencing *Donnie Darko* for the first time, it's a great excuse to spend Halloween at the cinema! See you at the movies! 🎬
