Welcome to the Essex 20 - Essex County Road Running Championships page!

The Essex 20 is held annually in March and is an ideal race to run in the build-up to the Marathon season.

To be eligible to take part in the County Championship event, you must provide your:-

- England Athletic Affiliation number (and this must be paid for the current affiliation year)

- Name of your England Athletics Affiliated Running Club

Without this information, your entry will not be accepted into the County Championship event

The venue for the event in 2027 is a 5-lap course at Debden Airfield. This disused airfield has a fast, flat, tarmac course with no sharp corners, and the surrounding tree cover makes for relatively still wind conditions on most days.

This booking page is for entry into the Inter-counties 20 mile road race champs, so we look forward to a competitive field at the front end.

In order to book onto the County Champs, you will need the password. This can be obtained from your running club or contact Essex Road race secretary via essexathleticaasec@aol.com
