A dog walk event will take place starting from The Red Bull in Newnham on 1 November 2026. Participants will walk through local parks and footpaths before returning to the pub for refreshments.
**The dog walks are back!** πΎ I want to emphasize am **not** a dog owner myself, so please let me know if there is any situation where dogs are not allowed, or anything that you think i should know :) It's a bit short notice, but our lovely Archie wants to go for a walk, so let's see if we get more volunteers :) Let's meet outside the **Red Bull Pub** in **Newnham**, walk through some parks and footpaths, then return for a well earned drink and bite to eat if anyone is hungry. During the route we will walk through Lammas Land park, along the famous Hobson's Brook and the beautiful tree lined Vicar's Brook to the former Showground Field near Long Road and then return to the pub. *As with all our events, no dog is needed. Just a love of dogs!* ππ The walk is both on and off lead and the Showground Field is a lovely open meadow of about 20 acres where dogs can be let off :). Lammas Land by the pub is also off lead. Total walking will be just over 1 hour at a relaxed pace. We look forward to seeing you! πΎπππ **START AND END POINT** Please meet us directly outside the Red Bull Pub. **PARKING** There is public parking at Lammas Land and other places if needed. **NO DOG NEEDED** \- just a love of dogs ππΆ **DOG BEHAVIOUR** \- as long as your dog is safe with people it is fine if it is young\, spirited\, or if you are still in training\. These events are brilliant for doggy socialisation and getting to know other dogs and dog owners π\. One thing we can't accept is dogs that are prone to causing aggressive spats with other dogs. Regretfully we can't accept dogs with this issue until it is rectified. **Owners are directly and solely responsible for their dog/s at all times. Please also look ahead and ensure your own dog is on the lead when you think it needs to be and that it is under your control at all times.** Venues, pubs and cafes - please keep dogs off seats and benches at all times so we are welcomed back :). **TREATS** \- before offering treats to a dog best to double
