A celebration of music and culture, bringing together Chinese traditional instruments, choral singing, and Western favourites.

Together in Music - A Concert Where Traditions Meet

A Celeration of Music Across Cultures

Have you ever heard the hauntingly beautiful sound of the erhu? Or discovered how Chinese and Western music can come together?

Join us for Together in Music — Where Traditions Meet, a special concert celebrating the beauty and diversity of music across cultures.

Presented by the Divine Melody Choir, a London-based Chinese choir founded in 2018 by soprano Chen Wang, a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, the concert brings together talented young Chinese professionals and students united by their passion for music. Having performed at prestigious venues including the Royal Albert Hall, the choir will present a vibrant selection of traditional Chinese songs, contemporary favourites, Western popular music, and musical theatre.

We are especially delighted to be joined by the Cambridge Chinese Orchestra, a well-established musical ensemble with a strong presence in Cambridge’s local cultural community. Through the beautiful and distinctive sounds of traditional Chinese instruments, the orchestra will bring another rich dimension to the concert, celebrating the depth and expressive beauty of Chinese musical heritage.

Together, these two ensembles will create a wonderful musical experience, bringing voices and instruments, traditions and cultures together on one stage.

An afternoon of beautiful music, shared traditions, and cultural connections — we warmly invite you to join us!
